Open Software Applications and to work as intended.
I downloaded and managed to install Skype.
I assumed it would open and work properly and immediately.
It worked properly first time.
I didn’t have to do anything.
Default Folder settings are correct.
Open folders and see if the default settings are correct.
Expect to see folders such as Downloads, Documents and photos etc.
I found all the folders I needed to see.
No action required.
Desktop Shortcuts go to the right place.
Drag a folder onto the desktop to create a shortcut and then double click to make sure it opens.
That it would be on my desktop and open when I click on it.
When I opened the folder it takes me to the correct place.
No action required.
The correct device drivers are installed.
Plug in a device such as a scanner.
I expect the scanner to work with no problem.
The scanner loaded and worked first time.
No action required.
The correct paper sizes are set for printing.
I check to see if when I go to print a piece of work that the printer is set to print in A4.
I expect to see the print paper setting is set on A4.
I see that the printer paper setting is set on A4.
No action required.
Menu options work as intended.
Went onto the menu options to see if everything works fine.
I expect to be able to create new documents, get a help bar and be able to save.
I was able to create documents, save documents and get up the help bar.
No action required.
Check to see if the date and time is correct.
Check the bottom corner of the screen to see if date and time are correct. I know this I searched the national date and time to make sure.
I expect to see the correct date and time in the bottom right corner of my screen.
Date and time was as it should be.
No action required.
